Martin d 28 authentic 1937 1953 1973 d 28e 28v vingtage acoustic guitar

The Martin D-28 Authentic 1937 VTS is the grand piano of steel-string guitars: capable of delicate beauty and thunderous impact. A gloriously inspiring instrument. The neck is a literal handful, so keep that in mind, but the wide fingerboard also makes the d28 Authentic 1937 VTS a very versatile instrument for guitarists who play fingerstyle. And it's a flatpicker's dream: there's plenty of room to move around on on the fingerboard, with every note as clear as a bell, and the low notes really speak with authority - you can feel them in your gut. A serious investment, yes, but this guitar is a joy. The d28 Authentic 1937 VTS is the overall best sounding dread that I have ever heard.''

’’There's no shortage of first-rate reviews on Martin's Authentic Series of guitars. On every corner of the web the written word and recorded vids depict in detail why these guitars are so special. I have dreamed of owning one since I first picked up the Martin product catalogue in 2014; furthermore, time and experience have revealed to me the fact that Madrose is tonally superior to EIR in every way. This review examines the instrument under the guises of: tone, construction/cosmetics, and price point. The subjectivity of tone cannot be overstated. Yet to my ears, this is the finest sounding guitar for the money. Period. We love Martin dreadnoughts because, well, they sound like Martin dreadnoughts. Powerful bass, complex mids, and ringing trebles. Big yet balanced, complex, cutting - think of Tony Rice's 1979 recording of "Blackberry Blossom" from the Manzanita album as just one example. Still the 37 D 28A excels when played with fingers responding to the lightest touch as well as a heavy flat pick with the nut width and string spacing to do both in comfort with a flawless factory setup. A straight neck and low action make this the most playable guitar I have ever owned. I find the evolution of the D-28 through the decades fascinating. The formula perfected itself in 1937. Forward-shifted scalloped, big neck, steel T-bar, hide glue, dovetail neck joint. It's all here, and the M1 VTS top has plenty of room to grow in time with a tone that's noticeably different than that of a non-torrefied top. Perhaps my favorite feature is the low-gloss lacquer finish. Super cool and takes play wear well as opposed to high gloss Nitro which becomes cloudy or shows wear if you stare at it for more than 30 seconds at a time. I love the attention to detail at every point from butterbean Waverlys, branded center strip stamp, and a nut that sits in the slot at a 45-degree angle just like the good ole days. There's plenty more, but I'll not bore you. For the price, it can't be beat. It's the instrument of a lifetime for a guy like me. I'll never have the $90,000 lying around to grab a real one. Lol. And while there are many phenomenal boutique luthiers who make great instruments, chances are they'll cost a few thousand more than a 28A.Nope.I'll take the one that comes from Nazareth.
